Melody Lima was the first studio artist to join Creativity Explored when the studio opened in 1983. Bold color, movement, and complex compositions are the mark of Lima’s artwork. Her subject matter is varied but she frequently draws and paints figures and animals, often using a combination of information taken from photographs and from her imagination.Lima likes to plan each composition before putting any mark on the page. She carefully utilizes color by selecting pairings of similar colors to use in each area of a work.
