Montrel Beverly (b. 2003) is an Austin-based artist whose practice focuses on figurative sculptures made out of pipe cleaners. Working under the moniker of Mr. Clowney, Beverly has been moulding pipe cleaners since middle school when his interests shifted from video games to art making. His sculptures include portraits, animals, and automobiles, though his subject matter is ever expanding. When asked about his artistic aspirations Beverly says, "I want to be Time Magazine's Pipe Cleaner Artist of the Year."
